Awe As Footage Shows Australian Shepherd Bottle-Feeding 7-Month-Old Baby – ryan

Footage of an 11-year-old Australian shepherd bottle-feeding a 7-month-old baby has left Instagram viewers in awe.

The reelposted by Jeff and Emily Mabey from Utah (@greenvalleyaussies), captured Dusty holding a baby bottle delicately in his mouth while Lucy takes it happily.

“Dusty is the best dog a family could ask for,” Emily told Newsweek. “He joined our family the day my husband and I got home from our honeymoon (and) has helped in the raising of our five children.”

But Dusty is far from just a family pet. Described by the couple as “the greatest dog,” his resume includes therapy work in children’s hospitals, appearances in commercials, and competitions in various dog shows.

A few years ago, Dusty even went viral for bottle-feeding a baby goat, so giving Lucy a feed was nothing out of the ordinary.

“He does just about anything we ask of him,” Emily said. “He has admirers all over the world for his kind, loving, sweet nature.”

Lucy, the couple’s youngest, is obsessed with her furry friend. “She just lays there and stares at him for hours,” Emily told Newsweek. “Dusty is super-calm and patient with babies; he isn’t crazy or overbearing—doesn’t lick them in the face or get too excited—just calmly lets them pet him. It’s the sweetest thing!”

The Mabey family’s reel has been viewed more than 2.6 million times, delighting internet users from all around the world.

“What can’t Dusty do?” one user commented.

“What a truly amazing animal,” wrote another.

The couple also wrote in the caption that they had been searching for a family nanny and Dusty had filled the position for 11 years.

“Love him so much! He looks like he takes his job seriously,” a third user wrote.

The bond between Dusty and the children started when they were just babies. The couple said that the dog is always there for them, laying by the crib, waking up for night feeds, laying next to the kids as they learn to crawl to him, and then playing with them when they learn to walk and run.

“For us, it’s not about the views,” Emily said. “We just love spreading happiness and smiles to our followers and people around the world. Social media often can get negative and make people down, but we strive to post content that make people happy.”
