Chief Minister Velha Gupta held a meeting with ministers, officials and public representatives to ensure effective and rapid implementation of Ayushman Bhan Yojana. The chief minister said that various aspects of the scheme such as Ayushman Arogya card distribution, identity of beneficiaries, awareness campaigns and decentralization of services were discussed in the meeting. Soon “Vygana Yojana” will be implemented. Public representatives were requested to work together on the distribution of Ayushman cards. Special emphasis was also placed on providing immediate benefits of the scheme to citizens over 70 years. For this, all public representatives were asked to prepare a list of citizens over 70 years. ‘Vay Vandana Yojana’ will soon be implemented for senior citizens, who will benefit all the elders of Delhi. The chief minister said that a total of 1139 Ayushman Arogya temples would be opened in Delhi. 14 to 15 Arogya temples will be opened in each constituency of the meeting. In this, facilities such as overall health counseling, health awareness, first aid and preventative medicine will be provided. MLAs will identify the place, all public representatives and district magistrates have been asked to identify suitable places to start the Arogya Temple in their respective areas. Officers were instructed to send a list of appropriate places to the Department of Health within a week. An integrated public health laboratory and nine blocks of critical care will also be built in each district. The chief minister said the previous government was wasting a lot of time by not implementing this scheme. But now there will be no further delay.
