Back in 2022, Director Zach CRegger Wowed Horror Fans with his movie Barbarianwhich was a hit with critics as well as audiences. Following its success, many wondered what he would do next, and it was Warner Bros. that decided to bank on his next effort, WeaponsHoping to achieve even bigger success as he continued to evolve as a filmmaker. The movie has been gaining significant buzz behind the scenes following the movie moving up on the release schedule and, with its first trailer being presented to a creeped-out crowd at cinemacon, the plot to his Barbarian Follow-up has finally bone revealed.
Per variety, cregger presented a first look at Weaponswhich features a stellar cast that includes Josh Brolin, Julia Garner, Alden Ehrenreich, Benedict Wong and June Diane Raphael. Garner appears to lead the project as an elementary school teacher who discovers that her first-period class has disappeared the night before. Per the voiceover heard in the trailer, “because the night before, at 2:17 am, every kid woke up, got out of bed, walked downstairs and into the dark, and they never came back.” The Town and Parents of the Missing Kids begins to grow Angry with Garner’s character, who also starts to see the missing children as apparitions with disturbing features. Brolin is also featured in the footage as a desperate parent Seeking information about his missing daughter. The film is said to also multi-related plot lines and witchcraft, Among other things, that are taking hold in a florida community consumed by fear.
