Chhattisgarh police have arrested 14 people on charges of IPL bets by the Mahadev -Dapp
The Chhattisgarh police arrested 14 people from different states for being associated with a panel with the Mahadev betting on the Indian Premier League (IPL) matches by a panel. A senior police officer gave this information on Wednesday. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is already investigating the comprehensive betting scam related to the Mahadev app in Chhattisgarh. Inspector General of the Raipur Range Amesh Mishra police said six of the arrested people of Chhattisgarh, three Jharkhand, two from Madhya Pradesh and one from Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar are. Eight accused were arrested in Kolkata, while the remaining six were arrested in Guwahati. He was arrested after questioning Nikhil Wadhwani, who was detained on April 13 for online betting on IPL matches. Based on his statement, police acted and arrested. During the action, police seized 67 cell phones, eight laptops, four routers, 94 ATM cards, 15 SIM cards, 32 bank pass books, three checkbooks, a security camera and RS 30 Lakh betting transactions. According to Mishra, the accused, by more than 500 bank accounts, made a deal of crores of rupees. Officials are now preparing to contact banks to freeze these accounts. So far 41 arrested in 17 bets associated with IPL, 41 people have been arrested in 17 betting cases this season.
