Do we use only 10% brain?

It has been said for years that a person uses only 10 percent of his brain. Films and books also emphasize this thinking. People believe that only a few people like Albert Einstein are able to use 10 percent of their brain capacity. There is an idea among the ordinary people that they can use their brain even more by adopting tricks. Harvard’s psychologist William James once said that we only use a small part of our spiritual and physical abilities. Author Lowell Thomas then turned it into a 10 percent figure. And then Dale Carnegie’s famous book How to Win Friends and Influence People Spread this myth worldwide. Films further strengthened this thinking. In the Hollywood film Lucy, a person has been shown to get a superpower by fully utilizing the brain. However, scientists consider it a lie. According to him, it remains active when our brain sleeps. If the large part of the brain was useless, there was no effect due to an injury on the head, but the effect of an injury on any part of the brain is on the entire brain.
