China's response to the tension of India-Pakistan: Appeal to maintain peace and restraint

Beijing, May 10 (IANS). China has expressed serious concern about the increasing tensions between India and Pakistan and has called on both countries to exercise self -control. At the regular press conference on Saturday, when a journalist at a regular press conference sought a response to the latest situation in India-Pakistan, the spokesman said China was watching the current situation closely and expressing the deep concern about the increasing tensions in the region. According to the journalist, Pakistan claimed that India attacked his Noor Khan Air Force Base and other bases on the morning of May 10, in response to which Pakistan began a military operation called “Banyan Ul Marsus”. In response, the spokesman demanded that China call on India and Pakistan to give the highest priority to regional peace and stability, work and limit peacefully and avoid any steps that have the situation worse. The spokesman also said that the two countries should return to the path of dialogue and political solutions, as this road is compatible with their long-term and fundamental interests. It is also not only necessary for the peace and stability of the South Asia region, but it is also the general and collective expectation of the international community.
