Border disputes over tourism in Jaipur, 80 percent booking in hotels canceled

After the recently increased tension between India and Pakistan, the number of tourists visiting Rajasthan gradually decreases. This had a profound influence on the state’s tourism industry. Tourism of Rajasthan, who was an important part of the state’s economy, is now facing crisis. Currently, 80 percent of discussions in large Rajasthan’s large hotels have been canceled. Hotel managers and travel agents are now facing this situation. According to Hussain Khan, president of the Hotel Federation of Rajasthan, this is a very difficult time for us because we lost about 500 crores. We hope the situation will be normal soon. There are peace these days with the most important tourist destinations of the state. The number of tourists has taken off in cities such as Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Jodhpur and Jaipur. The advent of foreign tourists is almost half, while the number of domestic tourists is also gradually declining. This effect appears especially during those months when the tourism season is closed in the state, ie from April to September. After the Pahalgam attack, the spirit of uncertainty increased among tourists and because of these people they canceled their itinerary. The hotel and restaurant association says our priority is the protection of tourists. We repay them all the money so that their confidence is maintained. There was a drastic decline in the number of foreign tourists visiting famous places such as Amer Palace and Hawa Mahal in Jaipur. This time, the weather was also favorable, which was good from the tourism season from January to April, but now the situation has changed. The attraction of Rajasthan, who once attracted tourists, has now reduced a little and it not only weakened the hotel business, but also weakened the economic condition of the state.
