A great tragedy came to light because of the collapse of a well in the headquarters of the Lodipur village in the Sehore district. On Tuesday, a woman came out to dig a well under construction, when the well suddenly collapsed and she was buried underground. After receiving information about the woman trapped in the well, Ahmedpur police, Tehsildar and villagers reached the place and a rescue operation was carried out about four hours to take the woman safely, but the woman could not be saved. The body of the woman was restored at 9:30 pm. According to the information received, the construction work of a well in the Lodipur village of Shyampur Taluka is underway. On Tuesday, a woman became in the pit to irrigate the well by placing a ring at the foot of the well. It is said that Tuesday night at about 5pm, when Ramswaroop’s wife Savita Bai, 30, leveled the ring of the well, flowed a large part of the soil from the top of the well and the stuff filled the soil in large quantities. As a result, Savita was buried underground. The well was deeper than thirty feet, the rescue operation lasted four hours. Villagers said the well was dug more than 30 feet deep. It was also filled with water. The whole town met as soon as the news was received about the incident. JCB was first mentioned that the soil could be removed. But when the work could not be completed by JCB, Poklen was arranged. Tehsildar also reached the place. Ahmedpur police police police were also present at the scene. It is said that many attempts were made in the dark of night to save the woman safely using a vehicle light, but the woman could not be saved.
