Why do we celebrate Trending National Space Day? The Indian Space Research Organization (Isro) was founded on August 15, 1969, but Isro Day is celebrated on August 23. There is a big reason behind it. 1. India is now playing thanks in space, which was done as a result of Isro. It is an organization that has so far introduced more than 100 missions in space. 2. On April 19, 1975, India sent its first satellite Aryabhata to space. This satellite was made in India. It was launched from Russia’s rocket. 3. India created history on April 2, 1984. Isro sent Rakesh Sharma, that is, his first astronaut to space. He spent 21 hours and 40 minutes at the Space Station in the Soviet Union (Russia). 4. India successfully launched the Chandrayan-1 mission on October 22 in 2008. India, which reached the moon on November 14, 2008, became the fourth country in the world, which showed this act. 5. In 2021, the Chandrayaan-2 mission was launched in India, in which it failed, but scientists did not even give up afterwards. 6. Isro has created a new history in space by Chandrayaan-3 mission on August 23, 2023 and has been celebrated on August 23. 7. Isro is working on the ‘Gaganyan’ mission.
