Sanskrit College, Minister of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, has announced modernization

Baripada, September 15 (IANS). Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan visited Baripada on Monday as part of an official program. During his tour, he inaugurated and laid the groundstone of various development projects in the region. Upon his arrival in the morning, BJP leaders and party workers warmly welcomed him. An important attraction of this tour was to lay the foundation stone for the development of historic Chhau Padia (traditional open dance forum). He also inaugurated a newly built residence for the players. After these programs, the Union Minister held a judging meeting with the district officials to judge the education system in Mayurbhanj. In the afternoon he participates in a two -day candlestick workshop held at MSCB University, Baripada. As chief gas, Minister Pradhan inaugurated the program and emphasized the importance of preservation and promotion of traditional candlestick dance of the Kudumi community. He said the government is taking concrete steps to promote this cultural heritage. There are plans to set up a dedicated candlestick dance center in Mayurbhanj under Odisha Jhoomar Academy. This initiative was discussed during the workshop and the minister assured that it would be transferred. In addition, he emphasizes the need to promote Sanskrit education in the district. He announced that efforts would be made to modernize the oldest Sanskrit College of Baripada. Pradhan said that the basic goal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary national education policy is to connect every child to the school and provide education in mother tongue. He said the government is constantly working to reduce dropouts, enrollment, developing the school structure and increasing the literacy rate.
