It can be noted that the WAQF (amendment) Bill, 2025, which was approved in the budget session of both the houses of parliament, was approved by President Draupadi Murmu. With the issue of Gazette notice in this regard, the name of WAQF Act, 1995 was also changed to Unified WAQF Management, Employment, Efficiency and Development Act, 1995.
