A year after Prabowo's government, PDIP highlighted IKN
Jakarta – PDIP DPP Chairman Andreas Hugo Pareira provided a number of notes for the one-year administration of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka. Andreas touched Asta Cita and Prabowo’s assistants in the cabinet. “A year into Prabowo’s administration, it was a difficult period of evaluation. Prabowo started the 2024 presidential election campaign with a promise to continue Jokowi’s administration. In the course of a government year, it became clear that combining campaign promises with the basic idea of Asta Cita, which is his priority program, was not easy,” (Andreas to journalists) said. Scroll TO CONTINUE CONTENT Andreas also highlighted the direction of the designation of the Indonesian Capital (IKN). Regarding IKN, Prabowo issued Presidential Decree number 79 of 2025 on updates to the government’s work plan for 2025, in which it states that IKN will become the Political Capital in 2028. “IKN needs to be reviewed and the direction of its designation is not yet clear, the management of state’s strategic assets has moved to BUMN after mismanagement. PSN has received protests, KA-Cepat Whoosh has left payment debts that are a burden on the APBN,” he said. Andreas saw that during one year of his administration, Prabowo focused on priority programs while overhauling the ineffective programs of his predecessor, the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Jokowi. He also mentioned Jokowi’s ‘trusted’ aides in government. “In the meantime, Prabowo himself must focus on his priority programs; MBG, Danantara, Red and White Cooperative while reviewing Jokowi’s ineffective programs. Not to mention some of Jokowi’s ‘trusted’ aides in Prabowo’s government who still have dual loyalties,” he explained. “This year’s situation is an evaluation period that is not easy to shift the focus of Prabowo’s government programs so that they can immediately accelerate their flagship priority programs,” he said. Regarding the MBG program, Andreas said, the government must continue to work hard. He hopes that MBG can be useful for children to meet nutritional requirements. “I think it is and will continue to be continuously evaluated, both with regard to the program implementation process and the output of the program, so that it is successful for the children who receive the benefits of MBG,” he said. Furthermore, Andreas also touched on the law and the eradication of corruption. He assessed that Prabowo’s firmness in rooting out corruption and enforcing the law would attract public attention. “Prabowo’s firmness and consistency in the execution of his big ideas, including the eradication of corruption and police reform, will be a matter of public attention in the future by 2029,” Andreas said.
