Aadhaar seeding and e-KYC will open the doors of pending installments of Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi.

It is expected that there will be smiles on the farmers’ faces. The “Cooperative Membership Campaign” running in the district is closely linked to the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, which paves the way for farmers to get their long pending installments. Due to the efforts of the District Administration and Cooperative Department, the work of Aadhaar seeding and e-KYC is proceeding at a fast pace. As a result, thousands of eligible farmers could get their pending installments soon. Review meeting chaired by district collector A review meeting was held on Monday chaired by district collector Arun Kumar Hasija on the progress of the Cooperative Membership Campaign. Deputy Registrar Vinod Kothari said on the instructions of the Collector, a detailed action plan of the campaign has been prepared to connect more and more villagers with cooperative institutions in the district. He said that the managers of the town’s cooperative societies had recently gone on strike, hampering the progress of the campaign. However, due to the efforts of Gautam Duck, officer of the state cooperative department, the strike ended on Monday, giving a new impetus to the campaign. Golden opportunity for farmers The “Cooperative Membership Campaign” which is running in the state till October 15, is considered as a big opportunity for the farmers. This campaign will not only increase the reach of cooperative societies but will also directly benefit the beneficiaries of Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana whose installments have been stuck due to technical reasons. At the state level, around 77.73 lakh farmers have not completed their Aadhaar seeding and e-KYC process due to which payments have been stopped. The goal is to complete both processes quickly during the campaign. One stop facilities in the camps: Under the campaign, farmers are provided with Aadhaar seeding and e-KYC facilities at one location in various camps set up under the campaign. This freed them from the hassle of going to different offices. Share this story Tags
