Bihar: Women kept Nirjala in Muzaffarpur quickly, worship

Muzaffarpur, September 15 (IANS). On the Ashtami date of Bhadrapada Shukla Paksha, Jitiya Fast was celebrated in various temples and pagode of Muzaffarpur in Bihar. On this pleasant occasion, thousands of women fasted for the longevity and prosperity of their children. There has been a phase of worship and fiction in the temples since the morning, which lasted until late. A crowd of devotes met in Santoshi Mata Temple, baby Garibnath -Temple and other great temples, where women listened to Jitiya’s story and worshiped in dedication. Pandit Ram Shrestha Jha tells the story of Jitiya wart in Santoshi Mata Temple. When he explained the importance of the story of Jeevaputra to women, he said that this was done to protect children and their happy lives. The story mentions the story of Eagle and Jackal, which reflects the rules and importance of discipline of this fasting. Pandit Jha said that the eagle listened to the story of the Brahmin and followed the rules, whereby his children remained healthy and safe. Dr Dharmendra Tiwari, the chief priest of the Devi Temple, said that the fasting of Jitia is extremely difficult and pure. It is a fast, in which women are stuck without consuming water and food. He said: “This fasting is not only a symbol of physical discipline, but also a symbol of spiritual and spiritual purity. By listening to the story and following the rules, mothers get special blessings for their children.” Dharmendra Tiwari said that the story is long and inspiring, which teaches the text of patience and faith to the devoted. The process of worship and storytelling continued in the temples until 9pm. The women decorated the temples with flowers and lamps and performed special worship for the mother Jitiya.
