About to fight, 2 teenagers in Makassar carrying a bow and arrow are seized by the police

Jakarta – The police arrested two teenagers in Makassa, South Sulawesi with the initials AA (24) and MAD (19) for being caught with bows and arrows. Both admitted that the bows would be used for fighting. Head of the South Sulawesi Police Resmob Unit, AKP Wawan Suryadinata, said that the police carried out patrols at two locations in Makassar City on Sunday (18/10). The AA offender was arrested on Jalan Somba Opu, while the MAD offender was arrested at the Cerekang River. “So the South Sulawesi Regional Police Resmob Ewako conducted a patrol to get public reports about the riot at the call center and then arrested two men carrying arrows and slingshots at two different locations in Makassar City,” said Wawan Suryadinata as reported by detikSulsel, Tuesday (21/10/2025). After AA was arrested, the police then conducted a search and found the MAD offender. “Members found a group of youths going upstream on motorcycles, then members checked them. At that location, AA was found and then at the second location, MAD was found,” he said. From their arrest, 6 bows and two slingshots were found.
