Thieves broke into a man’s home and stole his late wife’s Jewelery while he was out of the house. Some time on Saturday, April 5, Burglars Entered the House on Webster Avenue in Bootle.

They caused damage to the back door and made off with Jewelery and watches said to be of “great sentimental value” to the victim, having belonged to his late wife.

According to police, the stolen Jewelery includes a gold women’s watch with an interchangeable rim, an old wedding ring, a silver engagement ring with a diamond and an eternity ring with diamonds.

Among the stolen possessions, there was also a Rolex Watch, A Tag Heuer Watch and a Chanel Watch. A number of dress watches were stolen too.

Police are appealing for help from the public to retrieve the Jewelery, and anyone who saw anything suspicious in the vicinity of Webster Avenue on Saturday is being urged to come forward.

An investigation is underway, and forensic examinations are being carried out. Officers are trying to obtain cctv and doorbell footage.

Merseyside Police Detective Inspector Kevin O’Rourke, who leads the burglary team (operation castle), said: “The occupant is very upset that his late wife’s Jewelery has been stolen which is of great sentimental value and he would like them.

“The stolen Jewelery includes a Gold Women’s Watch with an Interchangeable rim, an old wedding ring, silver engagement ring with diamond and an eternity ring with diamonds.

“There was also a Rolex Watch, a tag watch, a Chanel Watch along with other dress watches which were stolen too.

“I am appealing to anyone who knows the whereabouts of the stolen gold Jewelery or may have seen them or advertising them for sale to please contact us as a matter of urgence.

“Burglaries can have a massive impact on the people affected as they have their home invaded which is an awful experience to go through and can often have a massive and long-lasing impact on victims.

“I would urge anyone who was who saw someone acting suspicious in the area of ​​Webster Avenue on Saturday to please contact us.”

Detective Inspector O’Rourke added: “I would also ask people who were in the area to check their dashcam, cctv or doorbell footage to see if they may have captured something that may be vital to the investigation.
