Adam Damiri officially files PK in ASABRI case, claims there are 6 new Novums

Jakarta – The convict in the Indonesian Armed Forces Social Insurance (ASABRI) corruption case, Major General TNI (Ret.) Adam Rachmat Damiri has officially registered a review (PK) of the fund management case at PT Asabri. Adam’s legal team claims there are six new novums in the PK application. “The six novums are generally financial balance sheets, financial reports, GMS (general meeting of shareholders), financial mutations, and various others and audit results of the BPK (Financial Audit Agency),” said Adam Damiri’s lawyer, Deolipa Yumara, at the Central Jakarta District Court, Jalan Bungur Besar Raya, Central Jakarta, Thursday/2025 said. Deolipa said there was a mistake in the first instance decision in Adam’s case. He believes Adam Damiri is innocent in the ASABRI corruption case. Secondly, we found some new evidence, novum that later turned out to really strengthen his position where he was essentially innocent,” said Deolipa. “So we came to the Central Jakarta District Court for corruption crimes, we are submitting a request for reconsideration,” he added. Deolipa said Adam did not enrich himself because of the losses suffered in this case. He hopes that the panel of judges will later consider all the novums that have been submitted. “He worked at ASABRI from 2011 to 2015, while what was sued was 2016 to 2020. So there was a mistake by the panel, because actually he was no longer in office, he retired from ASABRI. But why is the mistake of 2016 to 2020 still being imposed on him,” said Deolipa.
