Adani electricity first inaugurated the digital 220 kv substation
Mumbai, May 29 (IANS). Adani Electricity said on Thursday that it recently inaugurated a state of the articer 220 kV digital substation at Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC). It will meet the increasing power requirements of BKC, Bandra -East, Bandra West, Khar West, Santa Cruz East and surrounding areas. This substation will support commercial, residential and infrastructure projects in BKC and surrounding areas, which will strengthen the role of Adani electricity in the economic and urban expansion of Mumbai. This strategic upgrade of infrastructure improves Mumbai’s power transfer network, which ensures reliable and efficient power supply for current requirements and future development. According to the company, this innovative substation uses IEC-61850 process bus technology, which dropped copper cables by 92 percent and reduced the control room footprint by 50 percent. This feature is in environmentally friendly 220 kV 2×125 MVA power transformer, which offers better fire safety, better performance and more life. With the state -of -the -art technology and smart networking capabilities, this substation -transfer loss will reduce losses and improve the stability of the entire network. The Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) further confirmed credibility, and recently approved 220 KV connectivity between Adani Electricity Aare and BKC substations. A spokeswoman for Adani Electricity said: “The operation of this 220 KV substation is an important step in ensuring future power supply for this live and fast-growing area of Mumbai.
