Adani Enterprises will build the Solar Trayag-Kedarnath Ropeway project at a cost of Rs 4.081 crore

Ahmedabad, September 15 (IANS). Adani Enterprises Limited (AEL) on Monday provided information that the company received the awards letter for the establishment of a Ropeway project connecting Sonprayag of the National Highway Logistics Management Limited (NHLML) with Sonprayag. There will be a total investment of Rs 4.081 crore on this project. The company’s first Ropeway project will take six years. It will be built by roads, metro, rail and water department (RMRW) of Adani Enterprises Limited. The 12.9 km Lang Ropeway will reduce the time of the trip from 9 hours to 36 minutes after commissioning the project, which will make the pilgrimage easier and safe than before. This Ropeway can transport 1,800 passengers in each direction per hour, which will provide service to millions of pilgrims every year. According to the prominent incubator of Adani portfolio, Kedarnath receives approximately 2 million pilgrims annually, reflecting the importance of the project. This Ropeway is part of the National Ropeway Development Program ‘Rangmala Project’. The project, developed on the basis of public-private participation (PPP), will take six years to complete and Ael will operate 29 years after the construction. This project is expected to improve connectivity as well as employment generation and tourism in the region. Adani Group president Gautam Adani said: “Kedarnath Ropeway is more than an engineering project.
