Telangana Chief Minister Revevanth Reddy will go on a tour of Japan, focus on investment in the state
Hyderabad, April 15 (IANS). Telangana Chief Minister Revevanth Reddy leaves during a week’s visit to Japan on Tuesday night to attract investments in the state. The official delegation led by the main minister will visit Tokyo, Mount Fuji, Osaka and Hiroshima during the travel from April 16 to April 22. Chief Minister Reddy Osaka will set up the ‘Telangana pavilion’ on the World Expo 2025 as part of the visit. In addition, the delegation for investment will discuss by meeting large companies in Japan, industrialists and several representatives. The main focus of discussion is on investment and industrial-technical collaboration in the state. According to the office of the Chief Minister, the official team led by Chief Minister Reddy will provide information on investment prospects and Japanese businesses to make manufacturing units in the state in the prescribed meetings with potential investors. The chief minister will also be accompanied by a team of civil servants on this tour. Meanwhile, D. Sridhar Babu, Minister of Industry and Information Technology, said that Hyderabad had become a global trade center. He said that demand for commercial space in the city has increased significantly. Minister D. Sridhar Babu made this statement during the inauguration of Citizens Financial Group and Cognizant Technologies during the inauguration of Citizens Global Capability Center. The minister said the development of Saga of Hyderabad is striking, where 355 global capability centers already employ more than 3 lakh professional persons. The consumption of commercial space in the city has risen by 56 percent a year-on-year, which is the highest in the country. He said: “With the establishment of more than 70 new global capability centers (GCC) in recent years, we are confident that Telangana’s contribution to India’s GDP will reach $ 1 trillion by 2030.” The minister said: “We are excited to secure 200 million square feet of Grade A by 2030, which will strengthen our city as a global trading center. The inauguration of Citizens Global Capability Center is an important step in achieving this goal.” The center is initially expected to create more than 1,000 jobs for IT and data professionals and the number of employees in the next 2-3 years is expected to double. -Ians FM/CBT
