The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) arranged a meeting with Foreign Minister Aamir Khan Muttaki on Monday and the high-level delegation that accompanied him to India. The Afghan Foreign Minister has ensured the Indian industry that the necessary peace and harmony is established in Afghanistan and that favorable conditions have been created to improve economic relations between the two countries. The Afghan Foreign Minister emphasized that bilateral trade had already amounted to $ 1 billion. While many Indian businesses resumed their operations in different projects, Afghanistan is trying to improve India’s cooperation to improve bilateral economic ties. The Afghan Foreign Minister emphasized healthcare, education, infrastructure, logistics, aviation, education, agriculture and banking. He also emphasized the role of Ficci and the Afghan room in achieving these objectives. Many Indian businesses, including Kec, Max Hospital, resumed their operations. Likewise, Amity University also supports many Afghan students and has expressed a great desire to create a collaborative campus. The Indian industry representatives emphasized that visas remain a serious problem and should be resolved immediately for the smooth movement of business people on both sides. There is a need to streamline logistical arrangements, including the movement of goods between the two countries, to avoid delays in completing projects by Indian businesses in Afghanistan.
