In this episode, popular actor Ankush Hazra of Bengali films was called for questioning. Ankush Hazra reached the ED office on Tuesday morning, where he is being questioned about his role in promoting this app. During interrogation, ED officials will try to know how much amount has been given to them instead of promoting this app. Earlier Monday, the former MP of the Trinamole Congress and actress Mimi Chakraborty were also questioned, where officials questioned him about nine hours. The ED investigation mainly tried to find out why he promoted this app, how much money he gave for it, and whether he was aware of its illegality. The ED has so far questioned several popular faces in this case. Earlier, cricketers Suresh Raina and Shikhar Dhawan were also questioned in this case. According to the information, the former batsman of Indian cricket team Robin Uthappa was called in the Ed office on September 22. Uthappa will also be questioned in a similar question, as made from other players and actors earlier. In this whole case, all celebrities try to find out how they are associated with this app, whether they have investigated the background of the business before the trademark’s approval, and they were aware of the legal status of this platform. The investigative agency also sees whether there was no illegal transaction or money laundering through these promotions. In this case, Ankush Hazra and Mimi Chakraborty’s lawyer Shashi Kaushik issued a statement saying: “The ED sends summon to every person related to the matter, whether it is of the sports world or Bollywood. This is just part of the investigation process.” Let us know that many online betting platforms are prohibited in India, but that they still make access to their users through different domes, social media and mobile apps. With the involvement of many celebrities in promoting these platforms, the ED is now investigating deeper in this direction. -Ians pk/abm shares this story tags
