Jakarta – Governor of West Java (Jabar) Dedi Mulyadi visited the Ministry of Interior (Kemendagri), Central Jakarta to discuss regional government funds of IDR 4.17 T deposited in banks. He confirmed that the financial data of the West Java Provincial Government and the Ministry of Home Affairs were the same. “In the meeting with the Ministry of the Interior, the data from the Ministry of the Interior and the data from the Provincial Government are the same,” Dedi Mulyadi said after a visit to the Ministry of the Interior, Wednesday (22/10/2025). Because the data he has today is recorded at IDR 2.6 trillion. “There was a statement that appeared in the media that there was Rp. 4.1 trillion in funds stored in banks in the form of deposits. I asked, so where is that data? The Minister of the Interior said that the data available at the Ministry of the Interior is about Rp. 2.6 trillion,” he explained. Dedi further said the money mentioned was not settled funds. Later, these funds will be used for regional spending. “And it is not cash that has settled, it is the West Java Provincial Government’s cash that is stored at Bank West Java. The cash cannot be stored in a safe, so because our cash cannot be stored in a safe, our cash is in the bank,” he stressed. As previously reported, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa said he had obtained regional government data deposited with banks from BI.
