AHY Hearing with ILUNI UI, strengthening alumni data at the coordinating ministry for infrastructure
Jakarta – The Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), received an audience from the UI Alumni Association (ILUNI UI) for the 2025-2028 period and PP Ikastara for the 2023-2026 period. This audience was also attended by the chancellor of the University of Indonesia (UI), Heri Hermansyah. On this occasion, AHY appreciated ILUNI UI for conducting road shows to a number of ministries and institutions after forming its management, including the Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure. “I am happy to be able to welcome and discuss ILUNI UI colleagues, because the government cannot work alone to face increasingly complex development challenges. Cross-sector collaboration is needed, including with academics and the community, to create policies that are inclusive and right on target,” says AHY in its statement, Friday (24/10/2025). Scroll TO CONTINUE CONTENT He conveyed this when he received an audience of ILUNI UI and PP Ikastara at the office of the Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure and Regional Development on Wednesday (22/10). The meeting discussed plans to strengthen the UI alumni database spread across various ministries under the coordination of the Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure, namely the Ministry of ATR/BPN, Ministry of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Transmigration, and Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas. This initiative is a strategic step to strengthen cross-sector networks and inclusive collaboration between academics, government and UI alumni in various fields not only related to physical infrastructure development but also human resource (HR) development. Apart from that, ILUNI UI also explained plans for holding the Indonesia Infrastructure Outlook 2026 which will be held at the end of November and which is planned to cooperate with the Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure. Meanwhile, the General Chairman of ILUNI UI, Pramudya Oktavinanda, said that this meeting was a momentum to introduce the management as well as strengthen synergy because their spirit is to serve the nation and state. He also assessed the importance of building networks with alumni and non-alumni, also within the ministry. Together with the UI management and chancellor, Pramudya also explained the plan for organizing the Indonesia Infrastructure Outlook 2026 which will be held at the end of November and which is planned to collaborate with the Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure. ILUNI UI hopes that AHY will be willing to give a keynote speech at the Indonesia Infrastructure Outlook 2026. ILUNI UI also expresses its appreciation and thanks to AHY for his support and willingness to be on the ILUNI UI Board of Honor. The ILUNI UI Honor Council is an assembly consisting of UI and non-UI figures who play a role in maintaining national traditions, safeguarding values and being symbolic role models for the UI alumni community. AHY is not only regarded as a leader who has positive performance and has an impact on society, as in the results of several surveys that put AHY as the best performing minister, but also has excellent public communication skills. AHY is one of the few public figures who can explain government policy in language that is easily understood by the public. “Thank you, Coordinating Minister AHY, for your support and willingness to be on the ILUNI UI Board of Honor,” said Pramudya. Concluding the meeting, AHY welcomed the plan to implement the Balairung Forum Infrastructure Outlook 2026 initiated by UI and its alumni. The meeting also became a momentum to strengthen communication and synergy between the government and academic circles in support of the national development vision led by President Prabowo Subianto.
