AIIMS complies with high -level medical requirements of Bilaspur: JP Nadda
Bilaspur, October 3 (IANS). Health and Family Welfare Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda presented the third Foundation Day celebrations of Aiims Bilaspur in Himachal Pradesh on Friday as main guests. He was accompanied by the Lok Sabha -LP Anurag Thakur, Rajya Sabha -lp Harsh Mahajan, former chief minister of Himachal Pradesh and leader of opposition Jai Ram Thakur and Himachal Pradesh Minister of Health, Colonel Dr. Dhani Ram Shandil. At the event, JP Nadda said in his speech: “Aiims Bilaspur, with modern facilities such as Advanced MRI, CT scanner, Pet-CCT, endoscopy suites and bronchoscopy suites, made significant progress within three years.” He said: “People of the surrounding states also come to Aiims Bilaspur for treatment, this fact shows the growing faith and trust of the people in this institute.” Nadda has repeated the government’s commitment to providing quality medical services. He mentioned significant achievements in nuclear medicine, cancer care and kidney transplantation. He said: “A great achievement for Himachal Pradesh was a decline in private expenses. While earlier people had to go to PGI Chandigarh, Aiims Bilaspur today complies with the medical requirements of the region at high level.” As far as medical education is concerned, the Union Minister of Health said that 127 posts were recently approved for AIIMS Bilaspur, including 29 faculties and 98 posts that do not convention. He said that the selection committee will remain active for one year and that it must conduct at least four interviews to fill these posts quickly. Nadda announced the 500-bed-rust-house plan in Aiims Bilaspur for patients coming from distant areas. He said that, together with the construction of Type III, IV and V quarters, a quantity of Rs 165 crore was approved for residences of postgraduate students and Rs 5 crore for an indoor stadium. JP Nadda, which emphasizes the importance of maintaining the reputation of the AIIMS brand, has asked to repeat the successes of other AIIMS institutions by maintaining quality care and promoting innovation. He underlined the recent initiative to organize short-term exchange programs between AIIMS centers across the country. He also mentions the formation of a team in collaboration with the Niti Aayog and the Indian Institute of Public Administration, which will visit all AIIMS institutions and prepare the future roadmap for departmental development and stability. Nadda has emphasized the remarkable progress in the field of medical education over the past 11 years. He said: “There are currently 808 medical colleges in the country. The annual graduate medical seats have increased from about 35,000 to 1.25 lakhs. In the previous cabinet, the prime minister approved 5,000 new graduates and postgraduate seats in medical colleges of government.” He said that 75,000 additional medical seats will begin in the government’s medical institutions in the next five years. During the program, the culgi of the institute was officially released, which symbolizes the spirit and ethos of Aiims Bilaspur. Special price distribution ceremony was also arranged during the event, in which the Minister of Health of the Union honored meritorious students for excellent academic and curriculum performance. -Ians DKP/
