A local delegation of Raj Thackeray -led party submitted a memorandum to Collector Dilip Swamy and listed five demands related to the grave protected by the Archaeological Survey of India in Khulabad in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district of Madhya Maharashtra.
MNS said that a board should be installed at the place on which it is written, ‘We Marathas have buried Aurangzeb here which came to finish us.’

According to the memorandum, the decoration around the tomb should be removed and the area where this structure is, CCTV should be monitored. Also, government money should not be spent on the maintenance of structure. The party said that students of schools in the district should be sent on a tomb study tour so that they can know the history associated with the controversial medieval Mughal emperor.
This memorandum of MNS has come amid the demand of right -wing organizations to remove Aurangzeb’s tomb. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said on Monday that people should like Mughal emperor Aurangzeb or not, but his grave is a protected monument, but no one will be allowed to glorify him.
