The Al-Ahly Sports Club, one of Egypt’s most prominent Football Clubs, has expressed its discontent regarding the recent handling of proposed amendments to the sports law. The Club received an official letter from the ministry of youth and sports requiring its input on the amendments, but al-ahly leaders are demanding Clarity on the actual provisions of the law before proceeding.
On April 10, 2025, al-ahly sent a letter to Mostafa Madbuly, the head of the Council of Ministers, reiterating its request to review the proposed amendments to the sports law and to engage in community dialogue. The Club’s Management is particularly concerned about the lack of transparency in the process.
