The connection is with the feather Rajput Warrior Amar Singh Rathore. Agra, the only Hindu monument of Agra in Mughalshasan, Agra. Agra is known for the Taj Mahal and Mughal heritage around the world, but do you know that there is also a memorial in this city, which is a symbol of the Hindu Rajputana dearness and sacrifice. This monument is the umbrella of Jaswant Singh, located on the banks of the River Yamuna in Balkeshwar, Agra. The history of this monument is linked to the Mughal Durbar and Veer Rajput Warrior Amar Singh Rathore. The historian Raj Kishore Sharma Raje says that Amar Singh Rathore, son of Jodhpur King Gaj Singh, has been suspended from the state for some reasons. He then reached Agra and became a supporter of the court of Mughal -Equeer Shah Jahan. Rani Hada’s Sati returned from vacation in 1644, and he faced Mir Bakshi Salabat Khan in Diwan-e-a-one in Agra Fort. Amar Singh became angry because he imposed fines and made derogatory remarks and killed Mir Bakshi in court himself. After this, the Mughal soldiers surrounded and killed him. After the death of Amar Singh Rathore, his wife Rani Hada decided to be with her husband Sati. At the place in Balkeshwar, she merged into the fire. This incident left an indelible mark in Agra’s history and from here the foundation for the establishment of the memorial was laid. Jaswant Singh built the younger brother of Amar Singh Rathore, Raja Jaswant Singh, a large umbrella building in memory of his brother and sister -in -law. The construction work started in 1644 was completed in 1655. This umbrella of red sandstone is considered a wonderful confluence of Mughal and Hindu architecture. The monument has three entrances. The attractive umbrellas made on the bends, the carving of the vineyards on the walls and the beauty of the nets makes it special. This is why it is still a protected heritage under the archaeological recording of India. According to historians, the secret of the Shiva Temple is also a Shiva temple within this monument built at the same time. Even today, worship is being done here. Sometimes a big fair is kept in this place every year, especially the day Rani Hada was Sati. Now, however, this tradition is almost over. Even today, women come here and wish their husband’s longevity and offer green bracelets on the Shivling. This tradition gives more religious importance to this monument. The umbrella of the incredible architectural jaswant Singh not only describes the saga of sacrifice and bravery, but is also an excellent example of architecture. In this, while Mughal periods, Jharokha and forged carving are seen, the symbols and temples of Hindu tradition are also present.
