The swearing-in ceremony of the new cabinet will take place on Friday. The Chief Minister will submit the resignations of the ministers to be removed to the Governor late at night. The list of new ministers will also be presented. Officials say that the Cabinet reshuffle will take place on Friday under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. A senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader had earlier said that the state might get around 10 new ministers in the upcoming cabinet reshuffle. Apart from this, about half of the existing ministers can be changed. A statement issued on this major political reshuffle said that the cabinet expansion of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will take place on Friday at 11:30 AM. The current Gujarat cabinet has 17 ministers, including the chief minister, eight cabinet ministers and the same number of ministers of state. The 182-member Assembly can have 27 ministers, which is 15 percent of the total strength of the House. What will happen next? After the resignations of the current ministers have been accepted, the information will be given to the MPs who will be sworn in as ministers late this evening. Three to four Congress members are likely to join BJP. Most of the new ministers will be from BJP. Caste comparisons will be carefully considered, and all sections of society will also be considered.
