After changing methods of surgery in the medical world, it became easier to transplant both the liver and the kidney at the same time. Dr. KN Singh, head of nephology and multi -organ transplantation at the Apollo Hospital in New -Delhi, provided information on this during the 97th annual national session of IMA. In a conversation with Hindustan after his lecture, he said that the kidney, along with sugar, blood pressure and obesity, was infected or influenced for other reasons. Once the kidney is spoiled, there is an option of dialysis or transplant. But the transplant is the treatment if the liver is bad. The transplantation of these two organs of the patient whose liver and kidney are deteriorating together are now possible. Surgery for joint transplants of liver and kidney lasts 15 to 16 hours. In this joint transplant, donor must be two different persons. In simple words, the same donor cannot donate his kidney and liver. Dr Singh said that the patient could lead a normal life after this joint transplant. Women can live their married life in general. She can also become a mother. Nowadays, 50 cases of kidney transplant and 15 cases of liver transplantation come each month at Apollo Hospital, New Delhi. According to Dr. Singh donates most living people into a country with a large population like India organs.
