Home Affairs Minister Amit Shah, who reached Gurugram on the 41st Foundation Day of NSG, announced that the sixth NSG Training Center in the country will be opened to prevent terrorist activities and train the soldiers. After the already existing training centers in Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, Jammu and Hyderabad, the sixth training center in Ayodhya is opened. Home Affairs Minister Amit Shah addressed the 41st Foundation Day function of NSG as main gas on the Manesar campus on Tuesday afternoon. He said that NSG has been defending the country since its inception and has achieved success on many fronts. He said Commandos played an important role in defending the country during Operation Akshardham, Mumbai attacks and even operation Sindoor. Operation Sindoor has proven that terrorism no longer exists. Where attacks against India were planned, training centers were also destroyed. It has sent a message to the whole world that those who give shelter to terrorism will not be spared. Amit Shah said that NSG has achieved a lot in its four decade travel. Now it is entering new boundaries. This has created a dataancing of sensitive locations in India. To ensure security, it has collected all the information needed at critical times. Whether it’s Maha Kumbh Mela or Puri Rath Yatra, NSG soldiers have become a symbol of security on all fronts. He said that NSG would be further modernized in the coming years. Along with the protection of the nation, the soldiers also planted 6.5 crore trees across the country and cherished them like their own children. He expanded the best wishes to all the soldiers, officers and all related to national security during the establishment of the day. The Minister of Home Affairs laid the basis of the Special Operations Training Center (SOTC) at the NSG headquarters in Gurugram. This SOTC will be built on eight hectares of land at a cost of Rs 141 crore. It will provide modern education to commandos and anti-terrorism groups across the country. Share this story -tags
