Ammar Zoni's first hearing on the methamphetamine distribution case will be held the day after tomorrow
Jakarta – The cinematographer Muhammad Amar Akbar or Ammar Zoni will soon be tried in a drug trafficking case at the Salemba Detention Center. Ammar’s first hearing in this case was held on Thursday (23/10) the day after tomorrow. Seen in the Case Tracking Information System (SIPP) of the Central Jakarta District Court, Tuesday (21/10/2025), Ammar Zoni’s case was registered with number 632/Pid.Sus/2025/PN Jkt.Pst. Ammar will undergo an indictment trial along with five other accused, namely Asep, Ardian Prasetyo, Andi Muallim alias Koh Andi, Ade Candra Maulana and Muhammad Rivaldi. “Trial agenda: first trial,” is written in the SIPP of the Central Jakarta District Court. Previously, Ammar Zoni was caught distributing methamphetamine and synthetic tobacco from inside the Salemba Detention Center, Central Jakarta. These actions were discovered when prison officials became suspicious of Ammar Zoni’s movements. In his actions, the former soap actor was not alone. Ammar Zoni is suspected of distributing drugs in the Salemba Detention Center together with five other people, namely A, AP, AM Alias KA, ACM and MR. From the results of the investigation, it was revealed that Ammar Zoni and his colleagues used the Zangi application to communicate in the execution of drug dealing in the detention center. Ammar Zoni is suspected of getting the illegal goods from someone outside the Class I Detention Center in Central Jakarta, Salemba. Ammar Zoni is suspected of being involved in a drug case where he is serving a prison sentence in connection with a similar case. It is known that Ammar Zoni is currently serving 4 years in prison for a drug case after the prosecutor filed an appeal. Currently, Ammar Zoni has also been transferred to Nusakambangan Prison.
