Amul has lowered the price of over 700 products, know what thing has become so cheap

New -Delhi, September 20 (IANS). India’s largest dairy brand Amul announced a revised price list of more than 700 products on Saturday, which is in effect from 22 September. This step has been taken in accordance with the newly implemented GST rates, so that consumers can get the full benefit of tax deduction. The GCMMF (Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation) marketing dairy products under the Amul brand made it clear that about 700 products, including ghee, butter, ice, bakery and frozen snacks, lowered the prices. According to the amendment, MRP was reduced from butter (100 grams) from Rs 62 to Rs 58. The price of Ghee was reduced by Rs 40 and rose to Rs 610 per liter. The maximum retail price of amulworked cheese block (1 kg) was reduced from Rs 30 to Rs 545 per kg. The price of Frozen Paneer (200 grams) will now be Rs 95, which used to be Rs 99. Apart from this, the prices of products such as UHT milk, ice, cheese, chocolate, bakery range, frozen dairy, potato snacks, condensed milk, peanut spreads and malt-based drinks were also cut. The GCMMF said this price change will provide the full advantage of GST deduction to consumers. Amul believes that the decline in prices will increase the consumption of dairy products, especially ice, cheese and butter. The consumption of per capita dairy products in India is still low, so this step will create great opportunities for development and expansion. GCMMF, owned by 36 Lakh farmers, also said that the decline in prices will increase the demand for their dairy products, which will also benefit the business. It is noteworthy that Mother Dairy, before Amul, also announced from 22 September to lower the prices of his products. In such a situation, this step will be relieved to consumers, because now they will spend less in their daily dairy shopping. -Ians Pim/DSC shares this story Tags
