Algeria signs an agreement with Uganda to produce coffee and cocoa

According to the president and general manager of the Algerian company, Mohamed Batrawi, the Algerian Food and Logistics “Agrolog” has signed an agreement with the Ugandan company “Abasi” with investments of more than 200 million dollars to manufacture. Algeria is still strengthening its investments in the food manufacturing sector, and Madar Holding Company announced last May the one billion dollars award to establish a new factory to produce sugar from beets with a production capacity of one million tonnes annually. Algeria seeks to create a comprehensive economic transformation by improving local manufacturing and attracting investments, within the framework of a national plan aimed at reducing the dependence on fuel and diversifying revenue sources.
