Bengaluru Stampede: Too early to assume that RCB posts were on X primary triggers, the Karnataka High Court says Karnataka | Today news
The Karnataka High Court on Monday said it was too early to assume that posts made by the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) were the only or primary trigger for the June 4 -Chinnaswamy stage stamped, a report of 11 people resulted in. The posts invited the public to participate in the celebrations planned to celebrate the victory of the RCB cricket team in the recently closed IPL Tournament. Judge Sr. Krishna Kumar made the observation after Advocate General Shashi Kiran Shetty argued that RCB recklessly invited the public to attend the event at Chinnaswamy Stadium freely by putting out three posts at X, the report added. Advocate -General’s arguments against RCB The AG said that the posts were considered by RCB by 13 Crore people, and that the RCB announced that victory celebrations will be held in Bengaluru shortly after it won the tournament in Ahmedabad. All this was done without taking the state’s consent in advance, Ag Shetty argued. According to the report, he asked the court not to grant RCB or the event manager, DNA Entertainment Networks PVT Ltd, any relief against possible arrests. Royal Challengers Sports Limited (RCSL), the RCB owner, approached the Karnataka High Court earlier in the day to end the criminal case filed against it in connection with the stamp. The organizer of the event also filed a separate petition that disputed the FIR against it. While listing the case for June 12, Justice Kumar has instructed the state to arrest anyone so far.
