Apple has quietly slipped a game-changing Mac feature in iOS 26: Here's how to use it

Apple’s iOS 26 update was rolled out shortly after the company’s iPhone 17 launch event and since then the reaction to the new onion has been mixed, with users experiencing various problems, such as the deactivation of Apple intelligence features or contrast problems with the new fluid glass design. However, the new operating system also brings several new features, one of which is the Preview app. What is the preview app? Preview is a feature that has been a mainstay on Macos for years, through which users can see files, sign documents, edit pictures and even convert formats. However, the feature was absent on iPhones to iOS 26. With iOS 26, Apple released a dedicated preview app that allows users to perform the same tasks as the MacBook version of the feature. “The preview app is now available on iPhone so that you can easily see, edit and share PDF documents and pictures. Documents from the inside preview, use Autofill in Preview to fill in quickly forms and execute PDFs and pictures as different file types or sizes,” Apple’s official description for the app reads. To experience the new features, Apple users just need to look for the app or simply open it from the home screen. After opening the app, users will have the option to scan documents, open a miniature version of the Files app, edit pictures and even record PDFs. Users have the option to draw and write in a photo, cut it, remove the background, turn, change and even turn it. In terms of PDF amendments, users get the option to add texts, signatures, cut the document, search through them and share them with their friends. IOS 26 Qualifying Devices: iPhone 17
