Apple’s WWDC 2025 event is scheduled for June 9, and excitement has been built, but not only for the expected large software recycling, but also due to speculation about new Mac launches. Over the past few years, Apple has followed a mostly consistent Mac release cycle, which usually revealed MacBook Air Models early in the year and MacBook Pro models by the end. That said, fresh Mac models are probably on the way later this year. Here’s what we know so far. When will the M5-powered MacBook Pro models be introduced? In October 2024, Apple launched the MacBook Pro series, powered by the new M4 series chips. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman expressed that the new M5-powered MacBook Pro models could also launch during the fall, so it would not expect the ordinary to expect the new MacBooks to start in October this fall. The M5 chips are the fifth generation of Apple chips, to the M1, M2, M3 and last year’s M4 series. They both suggest that it can still continue to contain TSMC’s 3pm technology, instead of the 2pm technology that used to be rumors. The new Imac Apple has long had the 24-inch imac in the range, which was upgraded to the M4 disc. However, there is definitely a need for a larger imac. With this, the analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously predicted that a higher-end 32-inch mini-led IMAC could start in 2025. During the same prediction, he also said that there would be a new 24-inch imac update in 2024, which did happen in the form of the M4 chipset. So, if this prediction seems to be true, we can eventually get a 32-inch imac, which will bridge the gap and make a much bigger performance possible. We are uncertain about some models are still uncertain, including the Imac Pro, which still has M2 family chips, and it is also not clear when we will see the next generation MacBook Air through the M5. If the launch time line is an indication, we only got the M4-powered MacBook Air models earlier this year, so Apple is unlikely to release an M5-powered MacBook Air this year, and this keeps the current launch cycle that Apple is going for.
