Large internet interruptions in North Korea; Can be internal, not a cyber attack, says Report | Today news
North Korea’s Internet is experiencing a major interruption on Saturday, a British researcher said, adding that the cause could be internal rather than a cyber attack. Reuters reports that North Korea’s most important news websites and the Ministry of Foreign Ministry were inaccessible on Saturday morning. “There is currently a major break on the internet of North Korea -that affects all routes, whether it comes in via China or Russia,” says Junade Ali, a British researcher who monitors the North Korean Internet. North Korea’s entire internet infrastructure does not appear on systems that can monitor internet activities, he said. “It’s hard to say whether it’s intentional or coincidence – but it seems to be internal, rather than an attack,” the Reuters report said. Officials at the South Korea Police -Cyber -terror reaction center that monitor North Korea’s cyber activities could not be reached for comment, the report added. Warship was launched again after the first attempt was said in a Reuters report that North Korea launched a warship that was damaged in May with the attempt at the first launch, with a view to state media KCNA Friday. After restoring the balance of the 5,000 tonnes of destroyer earlier in June, it was launched on Thursday and is now moored at a pier, the report added. According to KCNA, experts will investigate the skirt for the next phase of repair, which must be performed at Rajin Dockyard for 7-10 days. The full recovery of the ship is expected to be completed this month before a ruling party meeting. North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, who was witness to the initial failed launch of the destroyer, expressed the accident as caused by ‘carefree’ that damaged the national dignity, and he ordered the ship to recover before the party meeting, added the Reuters report.
