AQI 88 recorded in Delhi has credited Sirsa for continuous efforts at ground level

New -delhi, October 3 (IANS). A day after Ravana Dahan at Dussehra, Delhi Minister Singh Sirsa said on Friday that a significant improvement in air quality was recorded in the city and that the Air quality index (AQI) fell to 88 (satisfactory category). He said that “satisfactory” AQI level was recorded in two major pollution hotspots of the city. Sirsa reported that Narela recorded AQI 66 and 76 in Mundka, reflecting the success of continuous and targeted interventions. Sirsa emphasized that the month of October is usually related to the rising level of pollution. He credited this change to tireless steps taken at the ground level. He said that a satisfactory day of October is most clear that measures such as machine cleaning, manure, construction and destruction and traditional bio-extraction of waste appear to be effective. This is the result of the attempts for the protection of the environment around the clock, no coincidence. Sirsa reiterated that the only reason for improving the air quality of Delhi is not the weather. He said that the clean air we see today is the result of policy, implementation and teamwork. Delhi proves that it is possible to get clean air from determination, system and continuous action. 190 clean air days were recorded in Delhi between January 1 to October 3, 2025, which is the highest for this period in almost a decade. This performance can make 2025 the best year ever, except 2020, when 227 such days were seen in Delhi as a result of the epidemic. He said that the record is now nearby, showing preparations for historical changes in the clean air fight of Delhi. The minister further said that among the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the effective guidance of Chief Minister Velha Gupta, Delhi, from short -term solutions to long -term solutions. Improvement in the air quality index in October reflects the strength of this active approach. He said this change of clean air in Delhi is not a coincidence. This is the result of the implementation of many schemes together. In Delhi, large-scale trees, road cleaning, dust control on construction sites, compulsory use of anti-sumog rifles in large commercial projects and biomark of old waste are being implemented. Sirsa further said that we installed fertilizers in pollution areas, made centralized arrangements for real -time monitoring, secured timely garbage collections and built and repaired new roads. All of these steps form part of a large cycle to improve the air quality of Delhi, which is visible.
