Army soldier who came home to testify in the murder case in Saharanpur shot dead
A shocking incident came to light from Saharanpur district Uttar Pradesh, where a soldier was allegedly shot dead. Police said on Thursday that the soldier was on leave to testify in a murder case. According to the information, the soldier was shot in the head and chest. Police began investigating the entire incident. The deceased was identified as a 27 -year -old soldier Vikrant Gurjar, a resident of the Mudikhedi village in Saharanpur. He is currently placed in Jammu and Kashmir. Vikrant returned home on Tuesday on a four -day holiday to testify in a murder case. Vikrant was shot dead at night. The sad thing is that he was killed at some point between Wednesday night and Thursday morning. According to Superintendent of Police (Rural) Sagar Jain, some residents saw the body of Vikrant along the way on Thursday morning and informed his family. He was shot in his head and chest. His family claimed that Vikrant was the most important witness in the murder of his cousin Rajat, who was stabbed to death four years ago. Jain said the police had not yet received a formal complaint about the incident, but that the body had been sent to Post -Mortem. He further said that senior officials are currently present in the town and that additional police force has been deployed as a precaution to prevent any unforeseen incident. Share this story -tags
