Artificial Intelligence and State -of -the -art techniques are also needed in the army: CDS Anil Chauhan

Ranchi, September 19 (IANS). Anil Chauhan, general of defense staff (CDS)), said on Friday that the Indian army should be equipped with modern techniques, including artificial intelligence (AI). He said that the Government of India is constantly working on the development of necessary equipment to face the challenges of space and cyber war. General Chauhan, who addresses the East Tech Symposium organized by the Eastern Command of the Army, said: “We must strengthen the basis of defense construction with the rapidly changing technology. AI and other innovations will play a decisive role in future fights.” He said that weapons should be chosen with strategic thinking in any war. For this, research and development (R&D) must be given priority according to time and circumstances. The CDS said the process of indigenous indigenous in the defense construction sector had started late in India, but that the country is now taking concrete steps in the right direction. Referring to the ACT -East policy of the central government, he said that the goals would only be met when states such as Jharkhand and Western Bengal active contribution. General Chauhan said: “There is also war science and art. In the present era, the fighter must be creative and full of innovation.” He called on the experts and entrepreneurs involved in the seminar to prioritize technological innovation, so that India can become self -sufficient in the defense sector and compete worldwide. The three -day East Tech Symposium, which started on the Khelgaon campus in Ranchi, was jointly inaugurated by Jharkhand -Governor Santosh Gangwar and Chief Minister Hemant Soren. The chief minister said that a Jhark hand could significantly contribute to the developmental works associated with the defense sector, especially core ability, rich in minerals such as uranium. Defense Minister Sanjay Seth was present as a special guest at the event. This is the fourth opportunity of the East Tech Symposium on behalf of the Oriental Order of the Army.
