The associate professor Ali Khan Mahmudabad of the University of Ashoka, who allegedly commented on Operation Sindoor, was released from the Sonepat district on Thursday night. The Director General of the Haryana Police General (DGP) formed a special investigative team (Sit) of three members (SIT) chaired by the Additional Director General of the Police (ADGP) Crime and Police, Sonepat Mamta Singh to investigate two cases registered in the Rai police station in accordance with the order of the Supreme Court. His family was already present at the gate of district prison and a car was parked near the gate. The professor came out, sat in the car and left without saying anything.
