Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said there is no need for ticket discussion between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, and passengers can come to the station and go on the bullet train. The National High Speed ​​Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) said that the tunnel dug with the new Austrian Tunnel method (WETM) is part of the 21km long underground section between the Bandra Kurla complex (BKC) and Shilfata, which includes a 7 km section under the Thane Creek. NHSRCL said in a statement that the bullet train tunnel now connects the Savali axis to the tunnel portal in Shilfata, which connects it to the air portion of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed ​​Rail (MAHSR) project. The internal width of the NATM tunnel is 12.6 meters, and it is formed using drilling, explosion, recording work and supporting systems under challenging geological conditions. According to NHSRCL, the next phase will include waterproofing, lining, finishing and equipment installation, while the remaining 16 km tunnel will be built with the help of tunnels feeding machines.
