Bihar: Electoral Commissioner Vivek Joshi has reached Motihari, the emphasis on raising voting percentage
Motihari, May 17 (IANS). Preparations for the election to be held in Bihar at the end of this year have increased. A team from the India Electoral Commission reached Motihari to prepare for the elections in the meeting. Election Commissioner of India Vivek Joshi reached Motihari’s warehouse with his team where he visited EVMS, VVPAT and elsewhere. Electoral Commissioner Vivek Joshi along with the Magistrate of the Motihari district Saurabh Jorwal, superintendent of police SWARN Prabhat and all the officials were also present. Officials from various political party also participated in this inspection. Joshi emphasized the importance of holding independent, fair, inclusive and peaceful elections with the maximum participation of voters during this period. According to the information, the election commissioner took feedback from the officials on the preparation of the election. During a conversation with reporters, he said that the officials received many guidelines in the coming time about the election that should be done peacefully, that there would be no problems in the election. However, he also said that there is time in elections. He saw the preparations. The Electoral Commissioner asked to increase the voting percentage that the publicity would be promoted by whip. Earlier Friday, the Electoral Commissioner of India, Vivek Joshi, chair of a high -level meeting in Patna to review the preparations for the upcoming elections in the Bihar meeting. The meeting was attended by Bihar’s chief election officer, Vinod Singh Gunjial, State Police Nodale Officer Krishnan, District Magistrate of Patna and district election officer Chandrashekhar Singh, senior superintendent of Patna and other senior officials were present. The Electoral Commissioner is also expected to review the election preparations in Bettiah (West Champaran). On Sunday he met SSB officials in Valmiki Nagar and visited the area.
