Asia Cup: Pakistan beat Oman with 93 runs
Dubai, September 12 (IANS). Pakistan cricket team made his travel debut in the Asia Cup 2025 with Victory. Pakistan defeated Oman by 93 runs in the match played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday. Pakistan captain Salman Ali Aga won the throw and decided to bat first. Based on 66 runs played with the help of 3 sixes and 7 fours of 43 balls of Mohammad Haris, Pakistan scored 160 runs at the loss of 7 wickets. Apart from Haris, Sahibzada Farhan recorded 29, Fakhar Zaman unbeaten 23, Mohammad Nawaz scored 19 runs. Saim Ayub 0, Captain Salman Ali Aga 0 was rejected while Hasan scored Nawaz 9, Fauem Ashraf scored 8 runs. Shaheen Afridi remained unbeaten after scoring 2 runs. Aamir Kalim and Shah Faizal bowled deadly to Oman. Kalim took 3 for 31 runs in 4 overs, while Faizal took 3 wickets for 34 runs in 4 overs. Mohammad Nadeem got 1 wicket. Oman’s batting, with 161 runs, was very disappointing. Oman was reduced to just 67 runs in 16.4 overs and lost the match with a large margin of 93 runs. Hamad Mirza was the top scorer by scoring 27 runs. Aamir Kalim scored 13, Shakeeel Ahmed scored 10 runs. In addition, no batsman could reach two digits. Pakistan’s spinner Oman overshadowed him.
