Guwahati (Assam) [India]September 21 (Ani): The Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, announced that the last rites of singer Zubeen Garg in the Kamarkuchi village in Sonapur will be held on September 23. Popular singer Zubeen Garg died in a tragic scuba accident in Singapore. The singer was rushed to a hospital, where he succumbed to the ICU on Friday afternoon. The mortal remains of the deceased singer are currently being held at the Bhogewar Baruah sports complex for his fans and wishes to pay their tribute before his funeral. After the Minister of Education, Dr. Ranoj Pegu, told the media that they discussed with the family of singer Garg about the potential surprise website and awaiting the final confirmation of Assam CM after a cabinet meeting, CM Himanta Biswa Sharma shared the final details of the last rites of Zubeen Garg. While talking to the media, CM Himanta Sarma said: “We will hold the mortal remains of Zubeen -Garg of Arjun Bhogewar Baruah Sports Complex at about 8am on September 23 to the location of Kamarkuchi, where the last rituals are offered, on September 23.” He also announced that the state government will build a Samadhi Khetra of Zubeen Garg on the Last Rites site. “The state government will set up a Samadhi Khetra of Zubeen Garg at that place. The state government has taken a proposal that we will carry the Zubeen Garg Bhasma to Jorhat, and we will build a Samadhi Khetra of Zubeen Garg on Jorhat,” Himanta Biswa Sarma said. Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu shared details about the possible surprise website for the late singer Zubeen Garg. While talking to the media, the Minister of Education in Assam said they were still determining the cremation place for the mortal remains of late singer Zubeen Garg. However, after discussing the singer’s family, however, Minister Ranoj Pegu said that the family requested that the cremation be held near Guwahati. That’s why Bhogeswar Baruah Stadium will remain open by night to the public to pay their respect for Zubeen. Tomorrow will be held at Sarusajai’s mortals to people.” Meanwhile, the Assam government has announced a three-day state account in the wake of the death of singer Zubeen Garg. The Assam CMO said that there will be no official entertainment, ceremonial programs or public celebrations during this period. The 52-year-old Assam icon died in Singapore on Friday after a diving accident. His body was flown to Delhi and later transported to Assam on a commercial flight that ended up in Guwahati on Sunday morning. Zubeen Garg, known as the cultural icon of Assam, was not only a singer, but also a composer, music director, actor and filmmaker.
