Assam: CM Sarma expressed sadness over the death of Zubeen Garg, preparations to bring back the body
Guwahati, September 19 (IANS). The famous Assam singer and cultural icon Zubeen Garg died in a diving accident in Singapore on Friday. Himanta Biswa Sarma, chief minister of Assam, mourned his death, saying that the process of bringing Garg’s body back to Assam takes place. Himanta Biswa Sarma posted on social media platform X and said: “I was constantly contacting his excellence Dr. Shilpak Ambule, the high commissioner of India. Zubeen was 52 years old. Zubin, who attends the North East festival, dived on Thursday night, when there was a problem to save them. Gone, it was not the age to go. His rich contribution to music would be remembered.
