The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) took another step in the direction of improving the passenger facility by installing automated ticket -selling machines (ATVMs) at Guwahati Railway Station. Officials gave this information on Saturday. Chetan Kumar Srivastava, general manager of the NFR, inaugurated the facility on Friday. This facility is under a comprehensive plan for modernization of ticket services. More than 100 ATVMs are provided at major railway stations of NFRIsdiction, so that passengers can be provided quickly and more conveniently ticket experience. Kapinjal Kishore Sharma, head of public relations officials (CPRO), said that ATVMs are designed to provide a fast, user-friendly and modern method to buy unconditional passengers train tickets. He said that passengers with this machine no longer have to stand in long queues with ticket counters. Instead, they can easily get tickets by directly paying digital payments on the machine. It saves time and congestion at railway stations will also ensure smoothly. The CPRO said it could issue unconditional tickets, platform tickets and even season tickets, making it a multi -purpose facility for daily passengers, as well as sometimes traveling passengers. An official said that a great advantage of the Automatic Ticket Sales Machine (ATVM) is that it promotes cashless transactions and digital Indian initiatives. He said that the northeastern Frontier Railway (NFR) 36 Water Saling Machines (WVMs) installed at 13 stations, along with ATVMs, which offers 24 hours of clean, safe and affordable drinking water. This initiative encourages travelers to fill water in their tools, protecting the environment, reducing the dependence on bottled water and ensuring hygiene and ease. With the available pure water available at affordable prices, WVM realizes the message of ‘cleanliness in every sip’, which provides safe water for healthy travel to passengers. He also said that the Northeast Frontier Railway is committed to bringing more such passenger -friendly facilities to its network in the coming days.
