APSC DEWERING BOOK: ED -attached assets worth Rs 4.90 Crore

The Directorate for Enforcement Directorate (ED) said on Thursday that it attached stirring and immovable property worth Rs 4.90 crore to Samaddur Rahman and his family members in connection with irregularities in the Recruitment of the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC). The ED said the attachment of immovable property worth Rs 1.52 crore and movable assets worth Rs 3.38 crore. The ED investigated the accused persons -Rakesh Paul, the then chairman of APSC, Samaddur Rahman, under the various FIRs submitted by the Assam police and the charge prevention Act (PMLA) on the basis of the circuit officials and assistant police commissioners for illegal recruitment of candidates for different posts, including circular officers and assistant. -Commissioners by the investigation by the then council. The Ed said, Paul, the most important accused in the case, manipulated and designed the reply pages of the joint competitive investigation of 2013 and 2014, along with other accused, including Samaddur Rahman, by increasing the points, the original answer books with false booklets replaced. With regard to some candidates, the facility is provided to secure work through APSC instead of cash. According to the ED, the revenue of the crime identified so far in this case is Rs 6.18 crore. During the investigation, the Ed noted that Rahman and his family members had a large amount of cash in their accounts during his term of office as a member of the APSC council.
