Usain Bolt to visit India for exhibition football match on October 1

Mumbai: Sprint -legend Usain Bolt will trade his running nails for football boots, as he will visit India for a unique exhibition match here on October 1st. Bolt, one of the biggest athletes of all time with eight Olympic gold medals, will relieve the field in an exclusive football showcase. Bolt will represent both Bengaluru FC and Mumbai City FC, and one half plays each of both camps that are brought together with both camps, in Puma’s two -day celebration, from 30 September. This exhibition match will be a ticket. “We believe that sports have the power to inspire and unite communities. Football is one of the most popular sports among the youth of India, and to make Usain Bolt play here is our way to celebrate the momentum,” said Puma India, managing director Karthik Balagopalan. Outside of the track, Bolt has always carried a deep passion for football. When he grew up, he regularly played the sport and dreamed of showing his speed and skills on the field. After retiring from athletics, he actively pursued, practiced, played trial matches and even scored goals.
